The lettering of the badge changed in 1959 or 1960 from 'Land Rover Birmingham' to 'Land Rover Solihull'. However, this is not documented in the original parts books.
On the basis of two original Series II models we can roughly narrow down the change. One Landy was built in late 1959 and carried the Birmingham emblem. The second Series II with the Solihull badge is from 1960.
