Classic car lighting
We light up the darkness: Here you will find an extensive range of classic car lighting such as headlights, , hazard warning lights and accessories to assist you in the restoration or rebuilding of your classic car. All products in our well-stocked online store are of the highest quality!
Main headlight
We offer 2 main diameter sizes in our main headlight range, namely 7" (178 mm) and 5.3/4" (146 mm). The headlights are available at Limora with British Pre-Focus, asymmetrical low beam, halogen H1 and H4 versions as well as for both right and left hand traffic. You can even find sealed beam headlights, but unfortunately they are not allowed in Germany. Please check the rules in your own country.
Bilux headlights
Bilux is an Osram brand and refers to an electric solution for high beam and low beam. Instead of the mechanical dimming devices of the early days, from the mid-1920s onward two filaments in a bulb took over the task of illuminating the road effectively in line with traffic requirements. Bilux lamps were standard in vehicle construction until the 1960s.
H1 headlamps
The next advance came in 1962 with H1 halogen lamps, which were first used in auxiliary headlamps from Hella, but shortly thereafter, starting in 1965, were also used in main headlamps in bi-focus reflector systems, each with one lamp for low beam and one for high beam. We offer the H1 headlight only in 5.3/4'' diameter.
H4 headlight
The H4 lamp has two filaments: one for low beam, the other for high beam. We offer models in 7'' and 5.3/4'' which have either a curved lens or a flat lens made of glass. In addition, the headlights do not use plastic, but vaporized steel sheet.
Thus, the headlights fit harmoniously into the look of your classic car. Especially for the Jaguar XK120 (1949-54), we even have the PF770 headlight in our offer, which has a rather special dimension of 7.7". In addition, you can also order from us a set of 7'' Lucas headlights, consisting of two pieces, with clear and beautifully curved lens with and without parking light.
Tripod headlamp
Due to the tripod holder, this headlamp offers exceptionally strong light and at the same time a clearly defined cut-off line. This is granted by the concentration of light in the triangular converging holder inside. The company Lucas offers 7'' headlights with and without parking light, which produce low and high beam by means of two filaments, for example the type PL700.
Sealed beam headlamp
Clear lens, integrated bulb with or without parking light - that's what makes our sealed-beam headlights! They form an overmolded unit of reflector, diffusing lens and filaments and are usually made entirely of glass. They were mandatory in the USA until 1983, but are not permitted in Germany. Please check the rules in your country.

Because they promise optimal illumination of the road and thus ensure a safe driving experience - even at night or during twilight. For many Land Rover and Mini models we have absolutely high-quality and very noble headlights for retrofitting available at Limora!
In addition, you can also purchase universal classic car LEDs from us! For example, we also offer LED base plates. In addition, we offer license plate lights, brake lights and actually every classic car light as LED! You can even find resistors and matching relays at Limora!
Caution should be exercised during installation: If you want to do it yourself, you should definitely have knowledge of automotive electrical engineering - otherwise it is advisable to visit a workshop. Our installation instructions only serve as a guide for professionals.
Hazard warning lights for classic cars
Hazard warning lights belong to those electrotechnical systems of classic cars that must be retrofitted without exception according to StVZO - even for vehicles from the pre-war period without electrical systems.
This regulation also makes sense, since a hazard warning light is also one of the safety-relevant indicators for classic cars in road traffic in the event of sudden hazards. In this way, you protect yourself and other road users equally.
When buying, it is essential to pay attention if your vehicle is negatively or positively grounded! Of course, we at Limora have the right hazard warning lights for both variants in our range. We offer universal solutions for all vehicle models for both 6-volt devices and universal devices.

- RHD = Right Hand Drive. Steering wheel on the right side of the vehicle. Driving is usually on the left side of the road, i.e. LHT = Left Hand Traffic.
If you convert a vehicle with RHD from England, then you need headlights according to the StVZO: in Germany RHT or LHD!
What size headlights does my classic car need?
If the vehicle was designed for or has a strong presence in the US market, then there is a very good chance that it will need 7" round headlights. In the original, these vehicles have "sealed beam" inserts, which are not allowed in Europe. Our 7" inserts, also available with parking lights, replace the old inserts with a harmonious look.
Do I have to retrofit a hazard warning system in a classic car?
Yes, absolutely. The hazard warning lights are the only electrotechnical system that must be retrofitted without exception - even on pre-war vehicles without electrical connections.
