Rocker cover
Austin Healey: BN4, BN6, BN7, BT7, BJ7 and BJ8 (1956-68)
aluminium with polished finish and 'Austin Healey script. Comes with Oil filler cap
The standard rocker cover was a pressed sheet metal part. Unfortunately, sheet metal rocker covers tend to warp if the screws are tightened too much. These slightly warped sheet metal covers are no longer tight. So what does the mechanic do? He tightens the screws even more.
This is why most sheet metal covers are warped and leaky.
A rocker cover made of cast aluminium is tight and also looks better.
