Heat shield
Austin Healey: BJ8 (1963-68)
for twin SU-HD8 carburettors - made from polished stainless steel
This heat shield is highly recommended for improved performance where high temperatures are an issue. Adding a heat shield can prevent fuel percolation, leading to hard starts or stalling. Stainless Steel has high heat deflection rate and also looks good. The installation requires of four carburettor to manifold gaskets (part no. 19554), two on each side of heat shield, as the heat shield mounts between air filters and carburettors.
