There are absolutely reasons for the original. The matching appearance and the high reliability speak for the original SU fuel pumps. Available with contacts and thus dual polarity, or without outgoing contacts for vehicles with "negative or positive ground". Convincing delivery performance at constant pressure in combination with the routine of the original equipment manufacturer are weighty arguments for these petrol pumps.
